Not a bad view from our holiday cottage, the girls asked if they could stay just a bit longer! |
I'm back home from a short holiday on the Isle of Skye, just in time for WIP Wednesday! Even though I've been doing a bit of sight seeing (nothing like a staycation and dry weather), I've been trying to work on a few projects as well.
The market bag is getting some sides:
This pattern is free, and actually popped up on my Facebook page yesterday for the Crocheting Club. For once, I'm ahead of the game. Ha!
I finished that hat I was working on for my Mom, so as soon as I can get a picture of it I'll get it posted. She looks great in hats!
love the last photo! I like when I can pair knitting and traveling :)
ReplyDeleteLovely view indeed! These socks are cute and the colour is very me ;-)
ReplyDeleteNice photo of the girls. :-)
ReplyDeleteooo the isle of skye, we went to Orkney last year - so beautiful. I absolutely love the colours for the hermione socks, so pretty. have a knitty wednesday xxx
ReplyDeleteYour market bag is coming along so well, might have to make a couple of those from my stash. I love the colourway of your socks
ReplyDeleteOh my! I love Skye. I could look at that top photo for almost forever. I learnt to properly knit when on holiday in Skye and Mull. Beautiful places.
ReplyDeleteLove the market bag! Are you making it with cotton?
ReplyDeleteYou have some breathtaking views, wow!
Look forward to seeing the hat.

What a gorgeous spot you picked for your holiday! All that mist is especially lovely since it's so blinking hot here. Pretty socks, too! I'm such a sucker for stripes.
ReplyDeleteWow, love the way those little stripes are popping up in the lavender yarn. I've really enjoyed my Hermoine's Everyday socks. The knitting was a bit boring but the pattern really has some impact after a number of repeats!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!!
ReplyDeleteI agree with your girls - I would definitely stay a LOT longer for that view! Like how the market bag is coming along. Nice and cheerful color.
ReplyDeleteHow spooky - I just downloaded the same sock pattern a few days ago.
ReplyDeleteI am SO SO loving the yarn you have chosen for the socks, looks stunning!
Your holiday pictures look great too, I think the fog added little mystery to some areas!
I don't know why but market bags are so much fun to make, yours is going to look great!
ReplyDeleteoh my gosh that view! simply gorgeous! your bag and socks are very pretty colors, you'll get lots of use out of both i'm sure! sweet girls on the wall!
