Happy Friday! Only one more week until the 4th of July. It is a happy holiday for me, as my family usually gathers at my Grandparents house on the lake for the fireworks over the water. This year we are home again, and can join in the fun. One of my sisters can't make it, (studying for the bar), but my parents went and collected her kids. I know my girls can't wait to see their cousins.
I finished the Alice in Wonderland, and man do I love it. This was a long time in the making, and I had some agony over the buttons.
I knit this with Valley Yarns Huntington (sock weight), in the colorway North Sea. It is a lovely color, and I'm pleased. This is the first piece of clothing I've knit in fingerling, and it did take a while. But totally worth it!
My sister suggested that I make one for my niece for Christmas. And while I love her, I don't know if I love her that much. So instead I gave my sister a knitting book, some needles and yarn and suggest she start learning!
Our pictures didn't turn out very well, the girls were too busy trying to annoy each other to bother with focus. Sigh. You get the idea anyway. I hope you have an excellent weekend, and a Happy 4th!

Braid Hills
Happy Wednesday! I'm writing this post on June 21, summer solstice. As I get older, time seems to go that much faster. Why is that? I don't like it. I wish I could just hit 'pause' for a little while
Since I can't, I'm just going to continue to knit like a fiend. I have been happily reunited with my belongings. That means, my WIP's! I've picked up my Braid Hills right where I left off. I was able to fix the problem I caused with an extra stitch before the move, and now I'm chugging away on it.
I'm knitting this in Cascade 220 sport, in the colorway straw gold. I loved the pattern picture so much I wanted a similar color. Look at me going out of my comfort zone and trying new colors!!
I'm being pretty monogamous with my Braid Hills right now, but I thought I'd show the progress I've made on my Lempster as well.

That's all from me for now. I hope to have my Alice photographed for FO Friday! See you then.

Alice
So, here is how my Alice in Wonderland currently looks:
I tried it on, and I LOVE it. I ordered the last skein that I needed right away. And maybe a little bit more of a different yarn to make a cowl as well. Is there a yarn addicts anonymous group I can join?
While I wait for the yarn, I'm back to work on my Lempster. I love it too.
I'm also working on my Roxborough Dolman again. I've messed up the increases, but I think it will be OK. I don't have a picture of it though, sorry. Not that it looks like more than a stripey tube.
It is pretty great to be working on projects that I'm happy with. I hope it continues!!
