I'm happy to announce that I've finished both of the girls ear flap hats. I love big needles, this project went super quick. I bought some 8mm DPN's just for this project, they are marvelous.
I made Rori's hat first, and to be honest, it is too big. I was too scared to wash it in warm water to try to shrink it a bit, so I just told her to pull it back off her face :) She can only grow into it. She picked the colours and I think it is the most gorgeous hat. I would keep it for myself if she would let me.
Look how big my pom-poms are! |
While I am more happy with the way Isla's hat came out--the second one is always better, am I right or what? I don't care for the colours she chose, but they really speak to her personality. Crazy, fun, off the wall. Her hat fits better.
So there you have it, that's what I've been up to this week. Here is where I like to hop:
Those hats are adorable! Great job on the pompoms. :)
ReplyDeleteI love those hats, they are most awesome...
ReplyDeleteI think I like the second one, but the colours call out to me more...I think its because of the orange :)
Those turned out super sassy! Another fun earflap hat is from Vampire Knits. It's the Wolf Hat. I have it in my Ravelry Finished Projects. I made it for my daughter and it's super cute with the little ears. I love how yours turned out.
