And thus it grows

I've been working away on Rori's cardigan, and it is looking better than I had hoped. Will it be warm?  No, probably not.  But it will be pretty (I hope!).  I think I only have another 3-4 diamond repeats and the border to finish and it will be done.  We are going button shopping this weekend, so the pressure is on!  I need to get my act together and do a test swatch for the next one, to be sure I have the right size needle.  If I have to order a new size I want it here and waiting for me when I need it!  Nothing is allowed to thwart my knitting.
Starting to look like a cardigan!

Diamond pattern

Last night I made the mistake of knitting while upset and tired (will I never learn?) and ended up 1 stitch short at the end of the row.  Sigh.  So I have that to look forward to today, I hate ripping out rows that have YO's.

I'm also still plugging away on the fan and feather blanket.  I'm loving this blanket, it is just so therapeutic to knit.

That's it for me, now I need to hustle the kids out the door and get myself ready for work.  I seem to be getting up earlier and earlier in the day to get things done!

  1. both lovely wips! I shudder at the thought of frogging knitting, I'm primarily a crocheter so I only have one loop to deal with :D

  3. Love the cardigan - and pretty is better than warm for some garments ;)

I have frogging anything, but especially rows with YOs, I get in a terrible mess! Good luck with it ;)

  6. Oh the sweet little cardigan will be very pretty and who cares about warm when you can have pretty and purple. The blanket is also coming along well!

  10. Nope, you probably won't learn. You probably knit when you're tired and upset because it's soothing. Even if you have to rip back to fix the next day :)

It may not be warm but it will DEFINITELY be pretty. It's pretty even with those pointy sticks in it!

  12. They both look great, even if the numbers didn't add up :( that's so frustrating! I really love your blanket too - the white stripes really set it off so well.

  14. ripping back lace pattern is SO nerve-wracking isn't it - I hope it went well (because then your feel even more chuffed that you avoided disaster, right?!)

  17. How annoying to lose a stitch. Probably not easy to pick up in that lacey pattern. It looks so pretty. I bet its going to be a popular cardigan.
